The Whitman PTA Advocacy Committee helps organize and amplify the voices of Whitman families, students, staff, and neighbors. Our work is centered on supporting Whitman as a strong, connected school community — making sure families have clear information, opportunities to participate, and ways to share their experiences with district leaders and decision-makers.
Right now, much of our focus is on PPS’s “rightsizing” conversation and helping Whitman families understand what is happening, ask questions, share concerns, and speak up about what Whitman means to them. More broadly, the committee works to build community cohesion and collective voice, because when families are informed and connected, we are better able to advocate for the resources, support, and decisions our students and school community need.

The Whitman PTA Events Committee helps bring our school community together by planning and organizing fun, engaging events for students and families throughout the year. From dances to game nights, craft fairs and more, the committee creates opportunities to connect, build friendships, and make lasting memories. Whether you enjoy brainstorming ideas, coordinating details, or volunteering at events, there are many ways to get involved. All are welcome, and every helping hand makes a difference!
